As the old dining out adage goes, tipping is customary, so with that in mind we bring you the latest installment of WhoWhatWearDaily.com’s little wardrobe tips. These shopping suggestions are a snapshot of what pieces we’re personally craving at this very moment, illustrated by some of our favorite style-setters (like the divine Miss Moss).



Invest In An Oversized Sweater
True, there are glorious coats galore this season, but our hunger for an enormous, soft sweater cannot be thwarted. Perhaps you don’t have need for a casual variation on a coat, but we love having an outerwear option that’s informal and cozy. Lauren Conrad, seen above, found a sublime piece that exemplifies what we want. Show-Off Your Waist
After years of overexposure (low-rise pants and skirts) followed by concealment (voluminous tent dresses), this season, the waist is spotlighted simply. To get the look, opt for eye-catching enhancements, like the gold accents on Mischa Barton’s black dress, or simply cinch on one of fall’s numerous belt options. If your dress doesn’t have pre-existing waist-detailing, try a slimming (less material equals less added bulk), interlocking belt.

Mix Your Highs and Lows
One of the personal tenets of WWWD is that we firmly believe in diverse sourcing. Like many of you, dear readers, we appreciate both the H&M dress and the Hermes accessory (cute is cute, regardless of price). Rachel Bilson’s above combination of high (Chanel scarf) and low (American Apparel sweatshirt) hits this guiding principle on the nose. Buy Some Broken-in Boots
We’re not total sycophants when it comes to Kate Moss, but you simply must admit the lady does have a knack for making her personal style whims the next big fashion trends. While she’s not reinventing the wheel with her beat-up brown boots, her footwear still sets off our envy alarm. Dedicated shoppers will find a pair on eBay or at a local vintage store, while the less proactive might like one of Frye’s many boot options.
